Ounce Meal Log for iPhone. Last updated October 10, 2026.

What Ounce stores

Meals, photos, calorie goals, and budgets are stored on your iPhone, in the app's own storage. Ounce has no account system and no server of its own. We do not see your meals.

What leaves your phone

Photos and camera

Ounce asks for camera access only when you choose to photograph a plate or scan a barcode, and reads a photo from your library only when you pick one. Plate photos are analyzed on your phone. A photo you attach to a meal is kept with that meal on your phone until you delete the meal.

What we do not do

Ounce has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third party SDKs that collect data. We do not sell or share personal information.

Deleting your data

Delete any meal from its detail screen, or delete every meal from Settings. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Children

Ounce is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is posted at this address with a new date.
